Join Next Week’s Conference!

I’ve been dreaming. On Easter, I watched my granddaughter Ophelia playing so lovingly with her little brother—helping him explore and discover the world, embracing him in laughter as he begins to grow into himself. Watching them giggle reminded me of the joy and tenderness we all deserve. And I’ve been daring to dream that beloved community is within reach.
And that’s why I’m so excited for next week’s conference, Revolutionary Love: The Courage to Imagine. April 15 – 18. We’ve assembled some of the country’s fiercest prophets, to dream alongside revolutionary artists and folks who translate love into policy. (And if you can’t make it in person, you’ll receive videos of every conversation to watch and rewatch whenever you’d like!) Together, we’re going to imagine the world as it should be. Because I fervently believe: Until we have the courage to envision and demand what we deserve, we’ll never get it.
That’s why it was crucial to us to organize the conference with a particular focus on how artists help us dream beyond our present political realities. Along with a Saturday evening art event—”Rev Love Rising,” featuring artists like Ani DiFranco & the Indigo Girls—our line-up includes folks like acclaimed actor Aunjanue Ellis, renowned artist Lyle Ashton Harris, Grammy Award-winning musician Julie Yeeun Kim, radical empathist Dylan Marron, and Krista Tippett (host of On Being). We put these visionaries alongside religious leaders like Otis Moss III, William J. Barber II, Sharon Brous, angel Kyodo williams, and Traci Blackmon—and political organizers like Linda Sarsour, Van Jones, Mark Charles, Jawanza Williams and Wajahat Ali. True change comes when we synthesize this brilliance: It shows us where we need to go, and what we must do to get there.
This week, we shared out the most recent in a series of beautiful dreams to promote the conference. It was narrated by my dear friend Wesley Rowell and it embodies exactly the kind of beauty we’re going to create together.

All politics is personal. It begins with your own dreams: The loving future you desire for yourself, for your children, for your neighbors. But the real magic happens when we layer all of our individual dreams into a collective tapestry. Next week, I’m thrilled to do precisely that. And I so hope that you will join us! To thank you for all your support, use the code DREAMER to get a $50 ticket. And if you are planning to join us, please spread word to your friends and family! We are only as strong as the community we dream and build together.
Onward toward fierce love,
Jacqui
