Celebrate Fierce Love Tonight!

Streamed live from Bloomingdale’s Studio 59, it is going to be an absolute blast! If you haven’t gotten your ticket yet, don’t wait any longer! It’s pay-what-you-can and EVERY dollar helps us rebuild and recover from our fire. And if you have purchased a ticket—first of all thank you, thank you, thank you—then go tell all your friends! I’m already buzzing in anticipation, and can’t wait to sing, dance and celebrate with all of you this evening.
Come Sunday, we enter Holy Week with a phenomenal Palm Sunday worship celebration. Our music team has put together amazing selections from Jesus Christ Superstar, and I’ll preach, making “A Call to This Moment; A Call to God’s Reign.” And, after worship, all five of our ministers will be at the weekly chat and chew to reflect with you about how this week tells the story of ongoing conflict between the kingdoms of this world and God’s fierce love.
Then, during the week, we’re offering a series of intimate virtual worships. On Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunrise, we’re gathering on Zoom calls so that we can see one another’s faces—to hold each other in love as we journey toward resurrection. And Saturday, April 3 at 11:00 a.m. we’re also hosting a fabulous virtual Easter partyfor kids and families to join! And all of this will culminate in an absolutely stunning Easter Sunday Worship Celebration!
In both tonight’s show and next week’s story, here’s what I know: Rising doesn’t mean we emerge without scars. We are always marked by the pain we’ve endured. But God promises: We don’t need to let that suffering define us. God is rolling the stone away, so we can emerge from our ashes into a glorious new dawn. So I hope you’ll join us, tonight and in the coming week, so we can live out that story. Together, we will embody resurrection.
